Empowering Seniors Through Movement

Our mission is simple:
To help seniors stay active, healthy, and socially connected through the power of movement.

We believe that age should never be a barrier to physical activity or community. By focusing on Nordic walking, we aim to promote a lifestyle that improves not only physical fitness but also mental well-being and confidence in everyday life. Through carefully planned walking programs, expert support, and a welcoming atmosphere, we’re creating a space where seniors can thrive.

We’re not just a walking club — we’re a movement.

Golden Walkers is a club dedicated to improving the physical and mental well-being of seniors through Nordic walking — a safe, effective, and enjoyable form of exercise. We are a team of young, energetic professionals who believe that staying active shouldn't stop with age. Quite the opposite — movement is the key to a long, healthy, and fulfilling life.

Our club offers regular group walks, expert guidance on walking technique, personalized support, and a warm, friendly community. We specialize in working with seniors, creating programs that are not only health-focused but also fun and socially engaging.

Because it’s one of the most ideal activities for older adults. Nordic walking uses specially designed poles to engage the upper body while walking, which helps improve posture, balance, and coordination. Unlike many other sports, it’s gentle on the joints, yet it provides a full-body workout. It combines cardiovascular training with muscle strengthening — all while being low-impact and suitable for all fitness levels.

Studies have shown that seniors who engage in regular physical activity, like Nordic walking, experience significant improvements in mobility, heart health, and overall mood. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), adults aged 65 and older should do at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity per week. Yet, research shows that more than 60% of people over 65 are not active enough.

At Golden Walkers, we want to change that — step by step.
